(WNY News Now) – Somerset – Authorities have identified the individuals involved in the fatal motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Lake and Carmen Roads in the Town of Somerset.
New details have emerged regarding the fatal crash that occurred on September 10, 2024, at 2:31 p.m. in the Town of Somerset. The accident, which took place at the intersection of Lake and Carmen Roads, claimed the life of one driver and involved another elderly motorist.
According to the Somerset Police Department, the deceased has been identified as 78-year-old Louis A. Greenwald of Lake Wales, Florida. Greenwald was operating a northbound 2024 Nissan at the time of the accident.
The second vehicle, an eastbound 2019 GMC, was driven by 77-year-old Earl H. Foster of Wilson, New York. Details surrounding the cause of the crash are still under investigation, but it is confirmed that Foster survived the accident.
Authorities are continuing to gather information as they investigate the sequence of events that led to this tragic collision.
