(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – On September 27, 2024, at approximately 12:28 AM, Jamestown Police Department officers conducted a traffic stop near Harrison Street and Institute Street for observed traffic violations. The vehicle’s operator, identified as 42-year-old Tonya S. Thwing of Jamestown, and her passenger, 35-year-old Christopher E. Dellahoy, also of Jamestown, were taken into custody after police discovered drug-related evidence.

During the stop, Dellahoy removed a digital scale from his pocket, which reportedly had drug residue on it. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered 7.4 grams of methamphetamine in the area where Thwing was seated.

Both individuals now face charges. Thwing is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree, along with traffic violations. Dellahoy faces charges of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.

Both were processed at Jamestown City Jail and later released with appearance tickets. They are scheduled to appear in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
