(WNY News Now) – Little Valley – A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of a Cattaraugus resident, uncovering a significant drug cache.

On September 19, 2024, at approximately 4:45 AM, Sheriff Eric A. Butler reported a narcotics-related traffic incident on Route 353 in Little Valley, NY. Authorities discovered Crystal M. Lore, 31, of Cattaraugus, NY, slumped over the wheel of her vehicle, prompting an immediate investigation.

Upon arrival, officers found Lore unresponsive and subsequently took her into custody around 5:02 AM. A search of the vehicle revealed a concerning assortment of illegal substances. Lore was found in possession of suspected fentanyl, crystal methamphetamine, crack cocaine, hydrocodone, Xanax, and methylphenidate, along with various drug paraphernalia typically associated with narcotic use.

Following her arrest, Lore was transported to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for processing. She was issued multiple charges under New York State Penal Law, including PL 220.06-1, PL 220.06-5, and PL 220.03 (five counts), along with violations of the Vehicle and Traffic Law (VTL) for failing to stop at a stop sign and other related offenses.

After processing, Lore was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Little Valley Court at a later date for further proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
