(WNY News Now) – Jamestown – A Jamestown resident faces assault charges following a domestic altercation that left an elderly individual with significant injuries.
On the evening of September 29, 2024, officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a report of a physical domestic dispute on the northside of Jamestown. The call, made at approximately 7:23 P.M., led officers to the scene where they encountered 40-year-old Thomas J. Dideminico outside the residence.
Upon investigating further, officers found an elderly victim inside the home suffering from facial injuries and visible distress. The victim reported substantial pain, indicating the severity of the assault. Following an initial assessment, officers took Dideminico into custody without incident.
Dideminico was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and subsequently charged with assault in the second degree, a serious charge typically applied when the victim suffers significant physical injury. He is currently being held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
