(WNY News Now) – Gowanda – A multi-agency task force executed a search warrant at a Gowanda residence, leading to three arrests and the discovery of crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia.

On the night of September 26, 2024, at approximately 10:40 PM, the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, in collaboration with several law enforcement agencies, conducted a search warrant at 20 Frederick Street in the Village of Gowanda, New York. The operation was part of an ongoing investigation into narcotics activity at the residence, which was believed to be used for the sale of illegal drugs.

Law enforcement teams from the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT), Chautauqua County SRT, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), and the Gowanda Police Department assisted in the raid. Upon entering the residence, officers uncovered a quantity of suspected crack cocaine and various drug paraphernalia.

Three individuals were taken into custody as a result of the search:

  • Rose Seeley, 52, of Gowanda, NY
  • Lawrence Fox, 42, of California
  • Donald Pfaffenbach, 43, of South Dayton, NY

All three were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree under New York Penal Law. Despite the seriousness of the charges, the suspects were processed and released on appearance tickets, requiring them to return for future court proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
