(WNY News Now) – A violent altercation between employees at an Applebee’s restaurant in the Town of Niagara has led to serious charges against one individual.

Town of Niagara, NY — A stabbing incident that occurred at approximately 3:07 PM on October 1, 2024, at the Applebee’s restaurant on Military Road has resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old man. The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene after receiving a report of an assault involving two employees.

Upon arrival, local authorities found that an altercation had escalated to the point of one employee allegedly using a knife on another. The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau promptly initiated an investigation, leading to the identification of the suspect, Sam M. Keesler, a resident of Niagara Falls, NY. Following their inquiry, Keesler was charged with Assault in the 2nd Degree, a Class D felony.

Keesler was arraigned in the City of Niagara Falls Court and subsequently remanded to the Niagara County Correctional Facility. His bail was set at $50,000 cash. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
