(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, N.Y. — Give the little ones in your life a nature-inspired experience with books and animals at Audubon Community Nature Center’s First Sunday Story Time on November 3.

After you and your favorite 2–8 year old(s) are inspired at Audubon Community Nature Center’s First Sunday Story Time on November 3, you can go outside to the Nature Play Area and visit Tank the Turtle.

The Audubon Community Nature Center invites families to attend its popular First Sunday Story Time on Sunday, November 3. Designed for children ages 2-8, this engaging event runs from 12:30 to 1 p.m., with doors opening at 12:20 p.m., just before the center officially opens to the public at 1 p.m.

Stories can be powerful ways to connect kids with nature. Each page offers opportunities to learn about animals, explore different habitats, and discover seasonal changes. After the story session, families can continue the fun by visiting the center’s interactive exhibits, meeting live animals, and playing in the indoor Nature Play Area.

For those wanting to get outside, the center’s beloved concrete turtle, Tank, and his friend, Sara, the Spotted Salamander, are waiting for visitors. This event is free, as is admission to the Nature Center every Sunday.

Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling (716) 569-2345 or visiting AudubonCNC.org. Limited to 15 participants, Story Time encourages early registration, though walk-ins will be welcomed if space allows.

Audubon Community Nature Center is located at 1600 Riverside Road, just a short drive from Jamestown, N.Y., and Warren, Pa. Visitors can explore the 600-acre nature preserve and hike its trails for free from dawn to dusk daily. Indoors, the three-story building features live animal exhibits, interactive nature displays, and the Blue Heron Gift Shop.
