(WNY News Now) – A tragic shooting incident on West Taylor Street claims the life of a young man, launching an intensive investigation as Syracuse Police seek public assistance.

Syracuse, N.Y. – On Tuesday, November 5, Syracuse Police Officers responded to reports of gunfire around 9:06 a.m. on the 300 block of West Taylor Street. Upon arrival, officers found a man in his 20s suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to the chest. The victim was immediately transported to Upstate University Hospital, where medical personnel later pronounced him dead.

The Syracuse Police Department has classified the case as a homicide and initiated a full investigation. Detectives are actively pursuing leads to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity, and no suspects have been named at this time.
