(WNY News Now) – A routine traffic patrol led to the arrest of a 22-year-old Jamestown resident for multiple charges, including driving while intoxicated and operating without a valid license.

Jamestown, N.Y. – On December 1, 2024, at approximately 3:21 AM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon conducted a traffic stop on East 8th Street after observing equipment violations on a grey Nissan sedan.

The driver, identified as Isabelle R. Jackson, a 22-year-old resident of Jamestown, was found to be operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Further investigation determined that Jackson was also driving under the influence of alcohol.

Jackson was arrested without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. She was subsequently charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated Per Se, Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, and Inadequate/No Tail Lamps.

Following her arrest, Jackson was released to a sober party with an appearance ticket requiring her to appear in Jamestown City Court on a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
