(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY — A routine landlord-tenant call on the city’s west side escalated into a foot chase and arrest on Thursday evening.

Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon officers responded to the incident around 7:05 PM at a west-side address. While mediating a landlord-tenant dispute, officers encountered Lisa M. Tucker, 28, exiting a bathroom in the apartment. When asked for her identity, Tucker provided the name of another Jamestown resident.

Recognizing the false identification, officers ordered Tucker to stop. Instead, she fled the residence on foot, prompting a brief pursuit. Officers apprehended her moments later after a struggle. Further investigation revealed that Tucker had provided the false name to avoid arrest on an outstanding warrant issued by another agency.

Tucker was taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail. She faces charges of Criminal Impersonation in the 2nd Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, and Resisting Arrest. She is currently held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
