(WNY News Now) – A domestic disturbance in a police department parking lot led to the arrest of a 25-year-old Kiantone man for allegedly violating a court-issued protection order.

The Town of Ellicott Police Department has reported the arrest of Louquavis Q. Dyer, 25, of Kiantone, following a domestic disturbance that occurred in the police department parking lot on December 22nd.

Authorities allege that Dyer was in violation of a valid stay-away order of protection at the time of the incident. Responding officers charged Dyer with criminal contempt in the second degree. This charge typically applies to cases where an individual is accused of intentionally disobeying a court order.

Dyer was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer to the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
