(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man faces multiple charges, including robbery and assault, after a violent domestic incident left two victims injured.
Jamestown, N.Y. – On the evening of January 3, 2025, Jamestown Police Department’s Second Platoon officers responded to a south side residence following reports of a physical domestic incident involving multiple victims.
Upon arrival, officers learned that 35-year-old Robert I. McIntire allegedly assaulted a victim while forcibly stealing their property. According to police, McIntire shoved the victim down a flight of stairs, struck them, and then forced them through a wall during the altercation.
A second victim attempted to intervene but was also struck by McIntire before he fled the scene in a vehicle.
Officers quickly located McIntire operating the vehicle nearby and took him into custody without further incident. He was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
McIntire faces charges including Robbery in the Second Degree, Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, Harassment in the Second Degree, and additional allegations of physical injury during the incident.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
