(WNY News Now) – A 37-year-old Jamestown resident faces multiple charges after a violent domestic disturbance on the city’s south side where he allegedly beat a female victim to the point she could not open her eyes.
On the morning of January 7, 2025, at approximately 8:03 AM, Jamestown Police Department officers responded to reports of a domestic incident at a residence on the city’s south side. Upon arriving, officers discovered that Tony J. Stebbins, 37, had fled the scene following an alleged assault on two individuals.
According to investigators, Stebbins struck a female victim multiple times in the face with a closed fist, causing severe swelling that left her unable to open her eyes. He is also accused of assaulting a male victim present at the residence.
Officers quickly located Stebbins in the vicinity and placed him under arrest. He was transported to Jamestown City Jail and charged with Assault in the Third Degree, Menacing in the Second Degree, and Harassment in the Second Degree.
Stebbins is being held pending his arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
