(WNY News Now) – A late-night traffic stop in the Town of Hanover led to the arrest of a South Dayton man for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.

On January 8, 2025, at approximately 11:07 PM, deputies from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to an incident on Hanford Road in the Town of Hanover. Upon investigation, authorities determined that 33-year-old David A. Reynolds of South Dayton, NY, had been operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

Reynolds was subsequently arrested and charged with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). The charges reflect heightened severity due to the level of impairment.

Reynolds is scheduled to appear in the Town of Hanover Court at a later date to answer for the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
