(WNY News Now) – On January 10, 2025, at approximately 1:00 a.m., Jamestown Police officers arrested 31-year-old Shawn A. Beardsley at a residence on the city’s south side. Beardsley, a Jamestown resident, was the subject of an outstanding arrest warrant for robbery in the third degree.

Officers had previously been informed that Beardsley was at the residence and responded to conduct a warrant check. Upon arriving, they made contact with Beardsley, who was taken into custody without incident. During the arrest, officers conducted a search of Beardsley and found a quantity of cocaine on his person. As a result, Beardsley is facing charges of robbery in the third degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree.

Beardsley was transported to the Jamestown City Jail and is currently being held pending arraignment at Jamestown City Court.
