(WNY News Now) – Officers conducting a warrant check on Jamestown’s east side arrested two individuals early Thursday morning, uncovering deplorable living conditions and charging both with endangering the welfare of a child.
JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – On January 9, 2025, at approximately 1:25 a.m., Jamestown Police Department officers executed a warrant check at an east side residence, resulting in the arrests of Jennifer Leverenz, 37, and John Boldorff, 43, both of Jamestown.
Upon arrival, Leverenz reportedly attempted to shut the door to evade custody, prompting officers to make entry into the home. Inside, officers discovered severe neglect, with various types of refuse piled throughout the residence, fecal matter on the floor, and an unusable kitchen and bedding areas.
Additionally, an individual under the age of 17 was found living in the residence. Due to the hazardous conditions, both Leverenz and Boldorff were charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Leverenz also faces a Resisting Arrest charge for her attempt to prevent officers from executing the warrant.
Both individuals were taken into custody and transported to Jamestown City Jail, where they are being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
