(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man faces multiple charges after a search warrant led to the discovery of drugs, a weapon, and stolen property.

JAMESTOWN, NY – On January 14, 2025, at approximately 11:18 a.m., a coordinated effort involving the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Narcotics Investigators, Jamestown Police Department Narcotics Detectives, Dunkirk Police Department Narcotics Detectives, and Jamestown Police Department officers resulted in the execution of a search warrant at 49 West 11th Street in Jamestown.
During the search of the residence, investigators uncovered 85.1 grams of cocaine, scales, packaging materials indicative of narcotics distribution, a loaded .380 caliber handgun, and stolen property.

The apartment’s resident, identified as 23-year-old Nylix J. Thomas, was arrested and charged with:
- Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 3rd Degree (two counts)
- Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree
- Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree
- Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the 5th Degree
Thomas is currently being held at the Chautauqua County Jail awaiting arraignment in the City of Jamestown Court.
