(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown resident faces assault and harassment charges after being arrested following a domestic dispute late Sunday night.
On Sunday, January 19, 2025, at approximately 10:38 PM, Jamestown Police Department officers responded to a west-side business regarding a domestic dispute that had reportedly occurred nearby.
During their investigation, authorities determined that 42-year-old James E. Turner 2nd of Jamestown had physically assaulted the victim. Police allege that Turner punched the victim in the face, pulled their hair out, and caused an injury to their hand before fleeing the scene.
A short time later, officers located Turner at a south-side address. While attempting to take him into custody, Turner allegedly resisted arrest by refusing to comply with police orders and attempting to pull away from officers.
Turner was transported to Jamestown City Jail and charged with third-degree assault, second-degree harassment, and resisting arrest. He is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
