(WNY News Now) – Wilson, NY – Firefighters responded to a commercial structure fire at the Wilson Lakeside Market on Tuesday evening. The blaze, reported at 6:56 p.m. at 337 Lake Street in the Village of Wilson, prompted a multi-agency response.

Upon arrival, Niagara County Sheriff’s Deputies confirmed an active fire on the western end of the building. Deputies ensured no occupants were inside before multiple fire companies worked to contain and extinguish the flames.

Firefighters from Wilson Volunteer Fire Company, South Wilson Volunteer Fire Company, Olcott Volunteer Fire Company, and the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station Fire Department assisted in the response. Additional support came from Ransomville and Cambria Volunteer Fire Companies, as well as the Niagara County Fire Coordinator’s Office.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Niagara County Fire Investigation Unit, with assistance from the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office. No property damage estimates are available at this time.
