(WNY News Now) – YORKSHIRE, N.Y. – The Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Yorkshire man on January 27, 2025, in connection with a probation violation and an obstruction charge.

Authorities took Gene Tingue, 68, into custody without incident on a violation of probation warrant. Additionally, Tingue was charged with Obstruction of Governmental Administration in the second degree for a separate incident in the Village of Little Valley.

Following his arrest, Tingue was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail on the probation violation warrant. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
