(WNY News Now) – Jamestown, NY — A 49-year-old Jamestown resident, Daniel M. Baird, was arrested on February 5, 2025, following a warrant check at a local North Side business.
The Jamestown Police Department responded to the area at approximately 7:56 PM after officers recognized Baird outside the business. Upon confirming there was a valid arrest warrant for Baird, officers took him into custody.
During the arrest, Baird was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. As a result, he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, in addition to the existing arrest warrant.
Baird was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
