(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, NY – A local woman was arrested early Sunday morning after allegedly trespassing at a 7-Eleven store and stealing an iced coffee.

According to the Jamestown Police Department, officers responded to a report of an unwanted person at 518 N. Main St. at approximately 1:45 a.m. Upon arrival, officers found 32-year-old Selena N. Hare standing outside the convenience store.

Investigators determined that Hare had been previously banned from the property but had entered the store despite the restriction. While inside, she allegedly took a large iced coffee and left without paying. Officers arrived to find her still in possession of the beverage.

Hare was taken into custody and charged with third-degree burglary and petit larceny. She was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where she is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
