(WNY News Now) – VILLENOVA, NY – A 20-year-old Pomfret man was arrested following an altercation in the Town of Villenova on Sunday morning, facing several charges, including strangulation and endangering the welfare of a child.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office and New York State Police from Fredonia responded to a reported dispute at a residence on Route 83 at approximately 10:34 a.m. Upon arrival, authorities identified the suspect as Tucker J.R. Bauer.
Following an investigation, deputies determined that Bauer committed multiple offenses, including harassment in the second degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, menacing in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, unlawful imprisonment in the second degree, endangering the welfare of a child, and strangulation in the second degree.
Bauer was taken into custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for Centralized Arraignment Processing (CAP). He is scheduled to appear in Villenova Town Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
