(WNY News Now) – BUFFALO, N.Y. – The National Weather Service (NWS) in Buffalo has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Niagara, Orleans, Northern Erie, and Genesee counties, effective from 1 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, through 4 a.m. Thursday, February 13.
Forecasters predict mixed precipitation, including 2 to 4 inches of snow and minor ice accumulations of a few hundredths of an inch. The wintry mix is expected to create hazardous travel conditions, particularly affecting the Wednesday evening commute.
Drivers are urged to slow down and exercise caution, as slippery roads and reduced visibility could make travel dangerous. Officials recommend allowing extra time for commutes and staying updated on weather conditions.
Residents are encouraged to report snow and ice conditions through the NWS website or social media channels. For the latest updates, monitor local forecasts and road conditions.
