(WNY News Now) – DUNKIRK, NY – A multi-agency narcotics investigation resulted in the execution of two search warrants on the morning of March 4, leading to the arrest of a Dunkirk woman and the seizure of drugs, firearms, and drug paraphernalia.

Law enforcement officials, including the Dunkirk Police Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, Jamestown Police Department, and FBI Safe Streets Task Force, carried out simultaneous raids at 91 Lincoln Ave. and 4 Front St. Lower Apartment in Dunkirk. The Dunkirk Police Special Response Team and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s SWAT executed entries at both locations.

During the searches, investigators seized cocaine, fentanyl, digital scales, packaging materials, and two firearms—a shotgun and a rifle.

Arrest and Charges

Authorities arrested Alberta Maxwell-Battle, 43, of Dunkirk, and charged her with:

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (Felony)
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th (Misdemeanor)
  • Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th (Misdemeanor)
  • Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia 2nd (Misdemeanor)

Maxwell-Battle was arraigned in Dunkirk City Court. Investigators stated that additional arrests may follow as the investigation continues. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Authorities urge residents to report suspected drug activity in their neighborhoods.
