(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – A routine traffic stop led to the arrest of two Cassadaga residents on drug charges Tuesday night, according to the Jamestown Police Department.
On March 11, 2025, at approximately 8:49 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Falconer Street and Lakeview Avenue for observed traffic infractions. The vehicle’s occupants, identified as Angela B. Peru and Dakota J. Gibbon, were found to have outstanding warrants issued by the New York State Police.
Both individuals were taken into custody without incident. During a search, officers discovered fentanyl on Dakota Gibbon’s person. A subsequent vehicle search led to the discovery of cocaine in Angela Peru’s belongings.
Peru and Gibbon were transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where they were charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree. They were held pending arraignment before being turned over to state police for their outstanding warrants.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
