(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, NY — A 49-year-old Jamestown man, Selwyn T. Goodlow, was arrested late Thursday night after being found in possession of crack cocaine and identified as a fugitive from justice following a routine traffic stop.
At approximately 11:12 PM on March 13th, 2025, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s Third Platoon were conducting patrols in the area of West 8th Street and Foundry Alley. During their patrol, officers initiated a traffic stop for a vehicle violation. Upon further investigation, the passenger, later identified as Selwyn T. Goodlow, was determined to be wanted on a warrant out of the Miami-Dade Police Department for retail theft.
In addition to the warrant, officers discovered Goodlow was in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine. As a result, he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree and Fugitive from Justice. Goodlow was taken into custody and is being held at the Jamestown Police Department pending arraignment and possible extradition.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
