(WNY News Now) – Minerva M. Torres, 29, faces assault charges after an altercation at a residence on the city’s Westside early Friday morning.
JAMESTOWN, NY — A 29-year-old woman was arrested for assault following a domestic incident early Friday morning, March 14, 2025, in Jamestown.
At approximately 12:41 AM, officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon were called to a residence on the Westside of the city for a reported domestic dispute. Upon arrival, both parties involved were uncooperative, prompting the officers to initially clear the scene. However, the situation escalated when the male victim contacted police once again, stating that he was being assaulted by the woman.
Returning to the residence, officers found that Minerva M. Torres had physically assaulted the male victim, injuring his nose and mouth. The assault led to Torres being placed under arrest on charges of Assault in the 3rd Degree.
Torres was transported to the Jamestown City Jail where she is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
