(WNY News Now) – HANOVER, NY – A 52-year-old Irving man was arrested on multiple charges following a traffic stop on Bennett State Road near Forestville Road on March 15, 2025, according to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies initiated the stop around 2:52 p.m. after observing traffic violations. The driver, identified as James White Jr., was found to be impaired by drugs and operating a vehicle with a suspended license. White was taken into custody and transported to the Hanover substation for processing.
He was charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs (DWAI), Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 3rd Degree, Consumption of Cannabis in a Motor Vehicle, Speeding, and Unsafe Lane Movement. White was released with appearance tickets and is scheduled to appear in Hanover Town Court at a later date.
As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
