(WNY News Now) – Two local graduates, Lucian Talbett and Nick Jones, are the newest recruits to the Jamestown Police Department, bringing valuable community knowledge and a commitment to service.
Jamestown, NY – The Kendall Police Club, the Police Benevolent Association representing the City of Jamestown police officers has announced that Lucian Talbett and Nick Jones recently joined the Jamestown Police Department.

Talbett grew up in Jamestown and graduated from Jamestown High School and Alfred State University. Prior to becoming a police officer, Lucian worked as an electrician. Jones is a graduate of Dunkirk High School and Jamestown Community College where he studied Criminal Justice and Physical Education.
“We are excited to have Lucian and Nick join the department as we work towards reaching the threshold of 65 officers department-wide for us to continue to serve and protect the city of Jamestown community,” said Sam Piazza, President, Jamestown Kendall Club. “Lucian, a local resident, and Nick, attending college in Jamestown, know our community well and they will fit right in.”
To apply for a position as a Police Officer, candidates must be certified by the New York State Bureau for Municipal Police and have at least 60 college credit hours. Individuals must pass the civil service police officer exam, agility tests, physical and psychological examinations, and oral boards.
