(WNY News Now) – A 30-year-old man from Yorkshire, NY, is facing felony charges after Jamestown police stopped a vehicle operating without headlights early Saturday morning.

JAMESTOWN, NY – On May 3, 2025, at approximately 1:33 a.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon conducted a traffic stop in the area of West 3rd Street and Harding Avenue after observing a vehicle driving without headlights.

The driver, identified as Joshua A. Pickering, 30, of Yorkshire, was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Following an on-scene investigation, Pickering was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail.

Due to a prior criminal history, Pickering was charged with felony Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) and felony DWI per se, along with receiving multiple traffic citations related to the incident.

He is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
