(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown resident was taken into custody Saturday morning after officers executed an arrest warrant and discovered illegal drugs in his possession.

JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — On Saturday, May 10, 2025, at approximately 7:00 a.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 1st Platoon conducted a warrant check near Broadhead Avenue and Kidder Street.

During the operation, officers observed 36-year-old Christopher E. Dellahoy of Jamestown, who was known to have an active arrest warrant issued by Jamestown City Court. Dellahoy was taken into custody without incident.

Following his arrest, officers conducted a further investigation and discovered that Dellahoy was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. As a result, he was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, a misdemeanor under New York State law.

Dellahoy was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where he is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
