(WNY News Now) – A Portville man was arrested on drug possession and fugitive charges following an investigation at Skateland in Franklinville.

On May 10, 2025, at approximately 5:00 PM, Daniel P. Windnagle, 37, of Portville, NY, was arrested after a Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office investigation into possible drug activity at Skateland in Franklinville Village. Windnagle was found in possession of multiple bags containing suspected fentanyl.

During the arrest, it was revealed that Windnagle also had an active Fugitive from Justice warrant out of Pennsylvania. Authorities took him into custody on both charges: Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th degree and the Fugitive from Justice warrant.

Following his arrest, Windnagle was arraigned at the Town of New Albion Court, where he was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail awaiting further legal proceedings. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
