(WNY News Now) – On May 14, 2025, Alexander L. Chapman, 27, of Jamestown, was arrested and charged with third-degree assault following a domestic incident on the city’s north side.
Jamestown Police Department officers responded to a reported assault at a residence on the north side of Jamestown at approximately 7:45 p.m. on May 14. Upon arrival, officers investigated and determined that Chapman had punched the victim in the face, resulting in physical injury.
Chapman was located shortly after the incident and taken into custody without resistance. He is currently being held at Jamestown City Jail awaiting arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
