(WNY News Now) – Police arrested a 38-year-old man after he was found inside a condemned home on Buffalo Street, leading to multiple charges.
JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — On Saturday morning, May 17, 2025, around 9:00 a.m., Jamestown Police officers responded to a reported trespassing incident at a condemned residence at 368 Buffalo Street on the city’s east side.
Upon arrival, First Platoon officers observed a male subject inside the property. He was identified as 38-year-old Douglas E. Puckett Jr., a person police noted they had encountered previously for similar offenses.
Puckett was taken into custody at the scene. During a subsequent search, officers discovered he was in possession of a controlled substance. Police say he also attempted to conceal or destroy the substance during the arrest, which resulted in an additional charge.
Puckett is charged with Criminal Trespass in the 3rd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
