(WNY News Now) – On May 17, 2025, Steele J. Rajski, 26, of Bolivar, NY, was arrested following a traffic stop in the Town of Allegany for several vehicle and drug-related offenses.

At approximately 1:55 a.m. on May 17, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Plaza Drive in Allegany involving Steele J. Rajski. The stop was initiated due to multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.

During the stop, deputies observed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside Rajski’s vehicle. A subsequent search uncovered a quantity of suspected fentanyl, suspected buprenorphine pills, and suspected methadone. Officers also found multiple packaging materials and additional drug paraphernalia.

Rajski was taken to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office Olean Substation for processing. He was issued an appearance ticket and released pending further court proceedings.

The charges against Rajski include:

  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 4th Degree
  • Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree (two counts)
  • Criminal Use of Drug Paraphernalia in the 2nd Degree
  • Aggravated Unlicensed Operation in the 2nd Degree
  • Failure to Wear a Seatbelt
  • Operating a Vehicle with No or Inadequate Muffler
  • Speeding in a Posted Zone

Rajski is scheduled to appear in Town of Allegany Court at a later date for these charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
