(WNY News Now) – A Jamestown man is facing multiple charges after allegedly violating an order of protection during a domestic dispute on the city’s west side.

JAMESTOWN, NY – On May 19, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 3rd Platoon responded to a past-tense domestic dispute at a residence on the city’s west side.

Upon investigation, officers determined that 37-year-old Timothy G. Press Jr. had violated an active order of protection by engaging in a physical altercation with the protected party. Press is also accused of unlawfully restraining the victim during the incident.

The altercation reportedly occurred in the presence of a 12-year-old child, prompting additional charges related to child endangerment.

Press was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. He has been charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree, Unlawful Imprisonment in the Second Degree, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and Harassment in the Second Degree.

He is being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
