(WNY News Now) – A 42-year-old Jamestown woman was taken into custody late Monday night in connection with a domestic dispute that resulted in physical injury.

JAMESTOWN – Officers from the Jamestown Police Department responded to a reported domestic dispute on the city’s southside at approximately 11:28 p.m. on Monday, May 26, 2025.

Upon arrival, officers learned that Justina L. Rivera, 42, allegedly pushed a victim into a wall, causing physical injury.

Rivera, a Jamestown resident, was located in the area shortly after the incident and taken into custody without further incident. She was charged with Assault in the 3rd Degree, a misdemeanor offense under New York State law.

Rivera was transported to the Jamestown City Jail, where she was held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
