(WNY News Now) – Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Leon man on an outstanding bench warrant during a warrant service in Conewango.

CONEWANGO, N.Y. — On May 28, 2025, at approximately 11:15 a.m., the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office arrested 53-year-old Bryan J. Farmer of Leon, NY, during a warrant service conducted on Route 241 in the Town of Conewango.

According to authorities, deputies attempted to serve a warrant when they discovered Farmer had an active bench warrant issued by Niagara County Court. Following the arrest, Farmer was safely transported to a secure location where he was transferred to the custody of the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office.

Farmer is expected to face further legal proceedings in Niagara County Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
