(WNY News Now) – A 21-year-old Jamestown resident is facing charges after police responded to a reported domestic disturbance on the city’s north side.

On Sunday, June 1, 2025, at approximately 10:18 a.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s 1st Platoon were dispatched to a residence on the city’s north side in response to a disorderly conduct complaint involving property damage.

Upon arrival, officers investigated the scene and determined that the property damage had occurred during a domestic incident.

The suspect, identified as Illinois D. Jackson, a 21-year-old male resident of Jamestown, was taken into custody at the scene without further incident.

Jackson has been charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree, a class A misdemeanor under New York State law. He is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
