(WNY News Now) – On June 1, 2025, deputies responded to a motor vehicle accident on Route 430 in Dewittville, resulting in the arrest of a Westfield woman for multiple DWI-related charges.

At approximately 9:10 p.m. on June 1, 2025, law enforcement officials responded to a reported crash on Route 430 in the Town of Chautauqua, near Dewittville, New York. Upon investigation, deputies identified the vehicle operator as 30-year-old Chanine A. Yordy of Westfield.

Authorities determined that Yordy was driving under the influence at the time of the accident. The investigation revealed that two children under the age of 16 were passengers in the vehicle during the incident.

Yordy was charged with aggravated DWI under Leandra’s Law for operating a vehicle while intoxicated with children in the car. Additional charges included aggravated DWI for a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .18% or higher, standard DWI, and unsafe lane movement.

She was issued tickets and released pending a court appearance in Town of Chautauqua Court, where she will face the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
