(WNY News Now) – New Endless River and Multi-Slide Complex Promise Fresh Thrills for Erie’s Beloved Water Park.
Erie, PA – Big changes are coming to Water World! Waldameer & Water World is thrilled to announce two major attractions for the 2026 season: a completely reimagined Endless River experience and the first phase of an all-new multi-slide complex.
Fiberglass slide components began arriving June 17, 2025 to begin preparation for installation. To prepare the site, the current Endless River and several nearby slides will close mid- to late-August.
A New Vibe for Endless Fun
Say goodbye to the old and hello to the bold! The existing Endless River is being replaced with a brand-new, more thrilling one, designed to delight kids and adults alike. This next-generation river ride will feature eight all-new interactive water elements — from bubbling geysers and fountains to unexpected splash zones — creating an ever-changing, totally refreshing experience.
“This is not just a new river — it’s a whole new vibe,” said Steve Gorman, CEO of Waldameer. “It’s the perfect mix of relaxation and fun; we know our guests will love it!”
New Slide Complex – Phase One
Also debuting in 2026 is the first phase of an exciting new multi-slide complex, headlined by two 5-person family raft slides. These high-thrill group slides will feature:
● Back-to-back curves and sudden drops;
● Vortex loops;
● Alternating light and dark flume sections; and
● A slide with a dramatic, near vertical wall with zero gravity experience
Guests will ride in multi-person circular raft tubes, making it the ultimate shared adventure.
Making Waves
Waldameer isn’t done yet. Details of Phase Two of the slide complex will be announced in the future, and it promises even more groundbreaking thrills.
“These additions mark the next chapter in Water World’s evolution,” Gorman said. “Our guests come back year after year, and we’re making sure there’s always something new to discover.”
