Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms

Impact: Flooding of small creeks, streams, streets, underpasses, and low-lying or poorly drained areas
Communities at risk include Gowanda, Collins, Dayton, Perrysburg, and Versailles.
Residents are urged to use extreme caution and avoid driving through flooded roads. “Turn around, don’t drown” is the official guidance, as most flood-related deaths occur in vehicles. Those camping or hiking should stay clear of creeks and streams, which can rise rapidly during heavy rain.
