Deputies arrest 64-year-old for driving while intoxicated and speeding on Bemus Point Ellery Road

(WNY News Now) – BEMUS POINT, N.Y. — A traffic stop conducted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office on the night of June 27 led to the arrest of a Stockton man on charges of driving while intoxicated.

Deputies say they stopped a vehicle at approximately 9:59 p.m. on Bemus Point Ellery Road in the Village of Bemus Point. The driver, identified as 64-year-old Paul E. Pierski of Stockton, was found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated.

Pierski was taken into custody and charged with Driving While Intoxicated and Speed in Zone. He was released with appearance tickets and is scheduled to answer the charges in Ellery Town Court at a later date. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
