(WNY News Now) – A Celoron resident is facing a petit larceny charge following a shoplifting incident at Target in the Town of Ellicott.

On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers from the Town of Ellicott Police Department responded to a shoplifting complaint at the Target store located within their jurisdiction.

According to police, 40-year-old Lyndsi S. Larson of Celoron allegedly took merchandise from the store and exited without paying. Following an investigation at the scene, Larson was charged with Petit Larceny.

She was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to answer to the charge. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
