Jamestown Police respond to Southside residence after report of domestic altercation; one woman arrested and held pending arraignment.
(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, N.Y. — A Jamestown woman is facing multiple charges following a domestic incident on the city’s south side late Saturday evening.
On July 5, 2025, at approximately 9:45 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s second platoon were dispatched to a residence on the south side of the city in response to a domestic dispute.
According to police, an investigation at the scene determined that 49-year-old Georgeanna Ribbing had allegedly struck the victim in the face with a phone. Further inquiry revealed that Ribbing was in violation of an active order of protection involving the same individual.
Ribbing was taken into custody at the scene and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. She has been charged with Criminal Contempt in the First Degree and Harassment in the Second Degree.
Ribbing is currently being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
