Police say 35-year-old Benny L. Salva died at the scene following a collision with a tree.
(WNY News Now) – JAMESTOWN, NY – A fatal motorcycle crash claimed the life of a Jamestown man on Sunday afternoon, July 13, 2025.
At approximately 12:58 p.m., officers from the Jamestown Police Department’s First Platoon responded to the intersection of Barrett Avenue and McKinley Avenue for a reported motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, they discovered a single motorcycle involved in a crash. The operator, identified as 35-year-old Benny L. Salva, was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the preliminary investigation, Salva’s motorcycle collided with a tree. No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
The Jamestown Fire Department and Chautauqua County EMS responded and attempted life-saving measures, but were unsuccessful. The Chautauqua County Accident Reconstruction Team and Coroner’s Office are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
