Ellicott Police: Suspect Accused of Violating Protective Order in Ongoing Dispute

(WNY News Now) – FALCONER, NY — A Falconer woman has been charged following an alleged violation of a court order and repeated harassment of another individual, according to the Town of Ellicott Police Department.

Police say Sara J. Paul, 50, was charged with Harassment in the Second Degree and Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree after officers responded to a harassment complaint on July 15 at approximately 4:45 p.m.

According to the report, Paul is accused of repeatedly engaging in behavior that alarmed and seriously annoyed the victim, despite a valid Stay Away Order of Protection being in effect.

Following the incident, Paul was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court at a later date to respond to the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
