Syracuse Police Arrest Anthony Price in Connection to Suspicious Death on Glass Terrace

(WNY News Now) – SYRACUSE, NY — A Syracuse man has been charged with second-degree murder following the suspicious death of a local woman found deceased in a residence on the city’s south side.

On Friday, July 18, 2025, at approximately 2:27 p.m., Syracuse Police officers responded to 103 Glass Terrace to assist another agency with a welfare check. Upon arrival, officers discovered the body of a woman inside the home. The victim was later identified as 40-year-old Nicole Azzoto of Syracuse. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Due to the suspicious nature of the death, the Syracuse Police Criminal Investigations Division (CID) Homicide Unit launched a full investigation. Detectives interviewed multiple individuals, conducted an extensive neighborhood and citywide canvass, executed several search warrants, and processed critical evidence.

As a result of these efforts, police identified 56-year-old Anthony Price, also of Syracuse, as a suspect in the case. On the same day, Price was located at the Glass Terrace residence and taken into custody. He was transported to the Public Safety Building for questioning before being arrested and booked into the Onondaga County Justice Center.

Price is charged with Murder in the Second Degree under New York Penal Law § 125.25(1), a Class A-1 felony. Police say additional charges are expected as the investigation progresses.
