Deputies say driver was operating vehicle without lights; multiple DWI charges filed.

(WNY News Now) – OLEAN, NY — A 37-year-old Olean man is facing multiple charges after being stopped by Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Deputies for driving without proper lighting in the early hours of July 25, 2025.

According to the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office, deputies observed a vehicle traveling on Buffalo Street in Olean without headlamps around 4:09 a.m. The driver, identified as Justin R. Warren, was pulled over, and a subsequent investigation determined he was allegedly driving while intoxicated.

Warren was charged with driving while intoxicated per se (first offense), driving with a blood alcohol content over 0.08% (first offense), and aggravated DWI per se with a BAC of 0.10% or more (first offense). He was also cited for operating a vehicle without the use of tail lamps.

Warren was processed and released with appearance tickets. He is scheduled to appear in Olean City Court at a later date to respond to the charges. As are all persons accused of a crime, the accused is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
